The following table lists the contents of this chapter. Section Description 8.1Installation Position of the Fiber Spool Box Describes the appearance of the fiber spool box. 8.2Installing the Plate and the Box Describes the procedure of installing the plate and the box. 8.1 Installation Position of the Fiber Spool Box The fiber spool box is used to spool fiber jumpers and hold the optical attenuators. It can accommodate 4 x 10 m fiber jumpers and hold eight fixed or tunable attenuators. If the cabinet holds two OSN 3500 subracks, install the fiber spool box at the third hole from the bottom of the cabinet, more than 50 mm away from the subrack. 1 8 Installing the Fiber Spool Box OptiX OSN 3500 Installation Manual If the cabinet holds only one OSN 3500 subrack, install the fiber spool box above the orderwire fixing frame.
