Production Planning – Execution (V1201) Page 1 Production Planning – Execution Production Planning – Execution (V1201) Page 2 Scenario In the previous workshops you entered the basic data required for Production Planning, i.e. Materials, Bill-of-Materials, Work Centres and Routings. Once this basic data has been entered, planning processes such as MRP may be used. The MRP subsystem will suggest that a number of Production orders are required to manufacture subassemblies and finished products, as well as Purchase orders for raw materials ordered from vendors (suppliers). In this workshop you will look at how these orders are entered and how the ordered goods are received into a storage location. You will receive materials into a storage location in two ways. A) Firstly you will receive into inventory the raw materials required to make the finished product. B) When the production order for the finished product is completed, you will receive the finished product into inventory. NB. The screens that you see may vary slightly from those shown below. 01. We will start by raising a production order for the finished product. Execute transaction CO01: Production Order Create : Initial Screen. 02. Enter your Material code : DXTR1### Production Plant : DL00 Order Type : PP01 Production Planning – Execution (V1201) Page 3 03. Press <Enter>. 04. On the Production Order : Create Header screen specify a Total Qty = 43 and a Finish date 2 weeks from today. 05. Press <Enter>. You will receive a number of messages in the Status bar at the bottom of the screen. The final message should be “Release carried out”. 06. Save the Production Order and keep a record of its number AFTER it has been saved (See the message in the Status bar). Production Order _____________________
