Ex: It is a nice day, isn’t it ? You aren’t from Bac Lieu, are you ? - Chỉ dùng 8 từ sau ở phần hỏi đuôi: I, you ,we, they, he , she, it, there. - Trong câu chính có động từ Tobe hoặc trợ động từ thì ta sử dụng chúng ở phần hỏi đuôi. Ex: Mr Parker can drive a car, can’t he ? - Trong câu chính có động từ thường ở hiện tại đơn, thì ta dùng don’t hoặc doesn’t ở phần hỏi đuôi. Ex: Van likes the Parker familly, doesn’t he ? They don’t work here, do they ? - Trong câu chính có động từ thường ở quá khứ đơn, thì ta dùng didn’t ở phần hỏi đuôi. Ex: You visited Dalat last summer, didn’t you? She didn’t go to work yesterday, did she? • Chú í: Câu ở dạng xác định nhưng có các từ phủ định hoặc bán phủ định thì được xem là câu phủ định.
