Aims and objectives : *Language content : -To help the sts to review the words they learned in last period. - To enable the sts to use Yes- No questions and Wh- questions. *Language function : -To help the students can describe their house and the surrounding of their house. - To enable the sts to ask and answer about the surroundings of a house. * Educational aim : - To make the sts aware of facilities in their neighborhood. 1. Language : a. Vocabulary: b. Structures: * Is it………………….? Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t *Is there a………….? Yes, there is. / No, there isn’t. *Are there any……… ? Yes, there are. / No, there aren’t 2. Skills : Speaking – Listening - Reading - Writing 3. Educational factor :- Educating the sts to love the surroundings of their house. II. Teacher’s and students’ preparation : 1. Method : Communicative Approach 2. Techniques: - Explanation, Repetition, game, pair work and group work . 3. Materials needed: -Picture, cassette player, flashcards 4. Materials needed : Text book 5. Students' preparation:- Prepare the lesson well before coming to class. 6. Previous exercises: - Do the exercises in the workbook. III. What is that? 2. Is there a hotel near your house? - Introduces the aim of the lesson:” To train the skill of using Yes- No questions and Wh- questions, we’re going to the new lesson.” II/ Pre- practice: Models: - Reads the model of the sentences aloud and explains the way of practicing them: * Is it………………….? Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t *Is there a………….? Yes, there is. / No, there isn’t. *Are there any……… ? Yes, there are. / No, there aren’t III/ Controlled- Practice : -let the sts look at the pictures A4 and work in pairs asking and answering basing on the model. - Calls some pairs to practice in front of the class. -Asks the sts to say things around their house and write them down on the board. Explains the way of practicing by giving the model: -Look at and answer: - It’s a hotel. - No, it isn’t. -Listen. -Guess the meaning of the words. -Write down. -Do as teacher required. -Listen and take note. - Pair work. -Practice in front of the class. - Say. -Listen. UNIT 7:YOUR HOUSE Lesson A- Is your house big? (A 5,6,7) I/ Content: * Is it………………….? Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t *Is there a………….? Yes, there is. / No, there isn’t. *Are there any……… ? No, there aren’t. - Has the sts work in groups to ask their friends What is near their house and what is not near. -Calls 1 to 2 groups to practice in front of the class. * A5: - Shows 3 pictures of the houses and asks the sts to describe the characteristics of each house. -Recalls some prepositions using to describe. -Lets the sts listen the tape twice and then choose the right house. -Calls 2 sts to give their answer and corrects. -Lets the sts listen the last time and check again the right answer. IV/ Free- practice: -Has the sts play “Drawing”. -Reads : “ There is a house. Behind the house, there are tall trees. Behind the tall trees, there are mountains. To the right of the house, there is a lake. To the left of the house, there is a well.” V/ Consolidation: -Uses the pictures to ask the sts some questions to get the main points of the lesson. -Group work. - Practice. - Describe. - In front of ; behind; next to; near…………. -Listen and choose. -Answer: a) -Listen again. - Play the game. - Draw - Answer. * A5. Listen : “There are some mountains behind the house. There is a tree to the right. There is a lake to the left.” a). II/Remember: * Is it………………….? Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t *Is there a………….?
