Aims and ojectives: - Language content: To introduce all the words relating to the topics: study habits - Language function: Guides students to have a sense of school report. - Education aim: To help students be aware of the important of studying and know how to find the subject needed to improve 1. Language: a. Vocabulary: school, report, to be proud of, to be one’s best, Spanish pronunciation b. Structures : Reported speech (past simple) Ex: Minh said: “I’m fine” – Minh said he was fine 2. Skills: Integrated skills: speaking (comprehension) 3. Education factor: Knowing to be aware of the importance of studying and find a way to improve that such subjects II. Teacher and preparation: 1.Method : Communication Approach : 2.Techniques: explanation, pair work , group work 3.Materials needed: a report card (phiếu thông báo trong học tập), text book, topic , cassette 4.Students’ preparation: a report card 5.Previous exercises: exercises 2 (work book) III. Procedure in class: 1. Stabilization: (3ms) a. Warm-up: Greeting b. Checking absence: Who’s absent today? 2. Checking up previous knowledges: *Question: What subjects do you like best? How many subject do you have *Keys to question : a week ? (I like math best / I have thirteen subjects a week) 3. In this lesson , we will have further discussion on study habits II. PRE-PRACTICE: - Says Now we listen to the tape and tell me What they are talking about and plays tape - Teaches some new words: + report card (n)(realia). + be proud of sb (adj) (translation). + pronunciation (n) (mine). + improve (v) (situation). + semester (n)= term (n). + to try ones best (v) ( translation). - Checks understanding: Rub out and remember. - Asks the Ss to read the statements on the sub-board and predict they are true or false. III. WHILE-PRACTICE: - Asks students to listen again, then practice with partner - Calls some pairs to practice in font of class - Corrects their pronunciation - Says Now you do the exercise 2 and check their prediction. - Asks the Ss to answer true or false and corrects false - Listen - Listen once and try to answer:They are talking about Toms school report - Focus on the teachers explanation and write down. - Play the game with the teachers guiding. - Read the statements and predict they are true or false. - Listen again to practice a partner - Some pairs practice in font of class - Listen - Do exercise 2 and check their prediction. - Answer true or false. CONSOLIDATION: - Asks the Ss to read the new words again. - Asks the Ss to answer 2 questions: + Is Tim a good student or bad student? + What did Tim need to improve? - Read the conversation again and answer the questions. - Compare with their partners. - Ask and answer. - Take notes. - Work in pairs. - Practice in front of the class. - Read the new words again. - Answer the questions. + He is a good student. + He needed to improve on his spanish pronunciation. dictionary. * Câu nói gián tiếp hay câu trường thuật(reported speech) là lời của người nói được thuật lại một cách nói gián tiêp với người khác. Ex : câu trực tiếp: Minh said: “I’m fine” Câu gián tiếp : Minh said he was fine + Bỏ dấu phảy (hay hai chấm) + Đổi ngôi của đại từ( I- he) + Lưu ý giáo viên chỉ dừng lại ở việc giới thiệu cấu trúc, phần ngữ pháp chính(câu gián tiếp ) sẽ được học ở phần language focues. 4. Education factor: To know how to share their study habits and methods of learning II. Procedure in class: 1. Stabilization: (2ms) a. Warm-up: Greeting b. Checking absence: Whos absent today? 2. Checking up previous knowledges: Time needed: (5 ms) *Questions: write the past form of verbs (run / be/ do / fly / spend) *Keys to questions: ran / was were / did / flew /spent 3. PRE-SPEAKING: - Uses the pictures to introduce something about the topic. + This is Lans lesson schedule in a week. + She does her homework everymorning.
