CONDITIONAL SENTENCES (CÂU ĐIỀU KIỆN)

- S + will/ shall + Vo .

- S + can / may / must… + Vo- Vo + O / Don’t + O

- S + Vo / V-s/es ( thói quen)

Ex: - If I have enough money, I’ll buy a motorbike.

- If it rains, we won’t go to the cinema.TYPE 2

Không có thật hoặc trái với sự thật ở HT

Past subjunctive

S + V 2/ed (be →were) didn’t + Vo

S + would/ could/ might… + Vo …

Ex: - If I were you, I would study hard.

- If he had a lot of money, he would travel around the world.TYPE 3

Không có thật hoặc trái với sự thật ở QK

Past perfect

S + had + V3/ed

Perfect conditional

S +would/could/might…+ have + V3/ed

Ex: If Peter had studied hard, he wouldn’t have failed the exam.* Ghi chú: Unless = If not

Ex:- We’ll be late if we don’t hurry.

 Unless we hurry, we’ll be late

Không bao giờ có hình thức phủ định của động từ trong mệnh đề có “unless” Nếu câu đề bài có “OR” & “WILL”  Viết câu ĐK loại 1

Nếu câu đề bài ở thì HT  Viết câu ĐK loại 2 Nếu câu đề bài ở thì QK  viết câu ĐK loại 3

Khi viết câu với IF thì phải bỏ “so, because, that’s why”

 Trong câu có “so” thì mệnh đề có “so” sẽ là mệnh đề chính, mệnh đề còn lại là mệnh đề “If” Trong câu có “because” thì mệnh đề có “because” sẽ là mệnh đề “If”, mệnh đề còn lại là mệnh đề chính

Ta có thể diễn tả câu ĐK mà không cần dùng IF hay UNLESS bằng cách đảo chủ ngữ ra sau động

từ WERE (loại II) hoặc HAD (loại III ) Chú ý không được làm với các động từ khác

Ex : If they were stronger,they could lift the table

 Were they stronger, they could lift the table

If he had studied hard, he would have passed the final exams  Had he studied hard, he would have passed the final exams

Provided (that), On condition(that), As long as, so long as (miễn là,với điều kiện là), suppose, suppossing (giả sử như ), in case (trong trường hợp), even if (ngay cả khi,dù cho)……… có thể dùng thay cho IF trong câu ĐK

Ex : If I forget ,please remind me of my promise.

= In case I forget, please remind me of my promise.

CLAUSES AFTER WISH (MỆNH ĐỀ SAU WISH)

1 Type 1:Future wish (Ao ước ở tương lai)

S + wish(es) + S + would + Vo

2 Type 2 :Present wish (Ao ước ở hiện tại)

S + wish(es) + S + V2/ed (be  were) didn’t + Vo

3 Type 3 :Past wish (Ao ước ở quá khứ)

S + wish(es) + S + had + V3/ed

Chú ý: S + wish(es)…… = If only………

Nếu câu đề bài có “WILL” OR “TOMORROW”  Viết loại 1 Nếu câu đề bài ở HT  Viết loại 2 Nếu câu đề bài ở QK  Viết loại 3  Bỏ “sorry, regret, what a pity…” Write sentences, using “WISH” 1 I can’t go out because it is raining I wish……….

3 I don’t know how to speak French I wish………
