Family and Friends – Sunday 29th October Unit – Play time - Lesson 3+4+5+6 Review: Toys, doll, ball, teddy, puzzle, car - Grammar: my, your, Is this…? New words: Kite, bike, train, game, scooter Skills: Reading, Listening, Speaking and writing Activities Procedure Warm up (5 mins) Teach vocab (20 mins) Teacher (T) - Greeting -Ask some questions “ how are you today”, What day is it today? ” What toys you know (Expected answers: doll, ball, teddy, puzzle, car) - Show each flashcard one by one, read the words and let Ss repeat 2-3 times - Stick the cards on the board and write the words around the cards, ask Ss to match the words with right pictures Listen and sing activity: - Ask Ss to look at page 16 and guess what is the song about, ask them to name some toys appear in the song - Play audio track 24 Jumbled-up letters - write jumbled-up letters of a word on the board and ask Ss to go to the board and reorder the letters to make the correct word Back to back game - Give instruction - Call Ss to stand in the front of the class - Give each of them a flashcard - Count 1,2 ,3 Students (Ss) - Greeting - Listen to T and answer - Listen and repeat - match the words with the right pictures - Look and guess - listen and sing along - go to the board and reorder the letters to make a correct word - Ss stand back to back, each of them hold a flashcard - When T counts to 3, Ss turn back and point to the other student’s flashcard and say that word as fast as possible The faster is the winner Listen and read (20 mins) Activity 1: - Ask Ss to look at page 14, point and say the toys in the picture, ask them to guess the name of the girl and the boy in the picture (Rosy and Tim) - Play audio track 22 Activity 2: - Ask all the Ss to close their book - Put all the flashcards on the floor - Play track 22 again, pause when the speaker says the name of a toy - Ask Ss to touch the toy that the speaker says when the audio stops Activity 3: - Call Ss - Ask the S1 to look at the dialogue and read any sentence, S2 repeats that sentence without looking at the book - Look, point, and say the name of the toys - guess the name of the boy and girl - Listen to track 22 - Close books - Listen to the audio - touch the toy that the speaker says when the audio stops S1 looks at the dialogue and read any sentence, S2 repeat that sentence without looking at the book - Explain to Ss the meaning of - Listen to T my/your in Vietnamese - Do the exercises on page 15 - Ask them to the tasks on page 15 - read out loud their answers (part 3,4) - Ask Ss to read their answers Teach Do craft Halloween 30 mins - give each S a piece of paper with an image of a toy on it Write his/her name on the back of that piece of paper Stick all pieces of paper on the board so that the ss only see the images but not their names Ask a S to randomly take piece of paper and ask them “ is this your…” If his/her name’s on the paper, the answer is “yes, this is my…”, if not, the answer is, no, it isn’t - Take any piece of paper - Answer “ Yes, this is my…” if he/she sees his/her name on it, otherwise, answer “no, it isn’t” ...Listen and read (20 mins) Activity 1: - Ask Ss to look at page 14 , point and say the toys in the picture, ask them to guess the name of the girl and the boy in the picture (Rosy and Tim) -...
