Family and Friends – Sunday 22nd October Unit What is this? - Lesson 5+6, 6:00 p.m Vocab review: pen, rubber, pencil, ruler, book, bag, folder, door, window, bookcase Skills: Reading, Listening, Speaking & Writing Activities Procedure Warm up (5 mins) Review vocab (15 mins) Review grammar (15 mins) Listen and read Teacher (T) - Greeting -Ask some questions “ how are you today”, What day is it today? ” What did you learnt in the previous lessons?, what school things you know? -Show flashcards and let Ss repeat 2-3 times - divide Ss into teams standing in lines in front of the board - Give them minute - Ask each team to write as much school things as possible on the board Students (Ss) - Greeting - Listen to T and answer -Listen and Repeat - members of each team takes turn to write a school thing at a time - the team who has more correct words is the winner - Prepare a die and a board (As bellow) - Roll the die Move the magnet - Call Ss, give each S a magnet (with - Ask and answer different colors ) - Ask Ss to roll the die and move the die the same steps as the number that the die indicates - ask the S to ask and answer about the image where his/her magnet tops (*Use the structure What is this – It is a ) - Who finishes first is the winner Activity 1: - Ask Ss to look at page 12, point and say the school things in the picture, ask them to guess the name of the girl in the picture - Play audio track 18 and let Ss listen and tick (page 13) (20 mins) Speaking and writing (15 mins) Take notes Deliver worksheet (20 mins) Activity 2: - Ask all the Ss to close their book - Put all the flashcards on the floor - Play track 18 again, pause when the speaker says the name of a school thing - Ask Ss to touch the school things that the speaker says when the audio stops Activity 3: - Call Ss - Ask the S1 to look at the dialogue and read any sentence, S2 repeats that sentence without looking at the book - Close books - Listen to the audio - touch the school things that the speaker says when the audio stops - give each S a piece of paper, ask them draw any school thing on the paper - Call Ss and ask them to ask and answer about their picture using the questions “what is this?” Ask Ss to take note Deliver WS Give cmt - Draw any school thing on the paper - Ss ask each other the question “ What is this” S1 looks at the dialogue and read any sentence, S2 repeat that sentence without looking at the book - Take notes ... mins) Speaking and writing (15 mins) Take notes Deliver worksheet (20 mins) Activity 2: - Ask all the Ss to close their book - Put all the flashcards on the floor - Play track 18 again, pause... things that the speaker says when the audio stops Activity 3: - Call Ss - Ask the S1 to look at the dialogue and read any sentence, S2 repeats that sentence without looking at the book - Close... - give each S a piece of paper, ask them draw any school thing on the paper - Call Ss and ask them to ask and answer about their picture using the questions “what is this?” Ask Ss to take note
