Unit Family and Friends – Sunday 15th October Lesson 1+2 Vocab: pen, rubber, pencil, ruler, book, Extra: School things, train, look at Grammar: What is this? It is a pen - What’s = what is/ It’s = It is Activities Procedure Warm up (5 mins) Teaching vocab and structures (15 minutes) Teacher (T) Students (Ss) - Greeting -Ask “ how are you today”, What day is it today? ” - Play the song days og the week Teach vocab: - take out a pencil case tell them it’s a pencil case, and let Ss guess what is inside then check if there is or there isn’t - take out a pencil, pen, rubber, book, ruler one by one , say the words and let Ss repeat -Show flashcards and let Ss repeat 23 times - Greeting - Listen to T and answer - Explain to Ss that pen, pencil… are school things and ask them :What school things you have? Teach structures: Show each card and ask Ss “What is this’, ask them to answer in a full sentence “ it’s a…” let them repeat 2-3 times - Answer Tell Ss What’s = what is/ It’s = It is Ask the question in ways and ask Ss to answer in ways - Sing a long - Look, listen and guess -Listen and Repeat Practice Activity : Slap the board (10 mins) -Call 2-3 Ss to stand in the middle - Dancing, walking around when of the class the music on - Play the music - slap the word that T says when - Stop the music Say word the music stops Activity: Touch and guess (10 mins) - Put all the school things in a bag - Touch and guess - Call a S touch without looking inside the bag and guess what it is Activity : Listen and point and repeat Listen and chant (10 mins) - Play the audio track 10, 11 - Listen, point and repeat - Listen and chant - make a train by arranging some school things like pen, pencil, rubber… and tell Ss it is a train, - Explain the word “look at’ by gestures and ask Ss look at something in the class room - Ask Ss open their book and look at the part “listen and read” - Point to the pictures and ask them : Who is this?, What is this?, Is this a…? - play the audio track 12 - read each sentence (And might the action at the same time) and let Ss repeat - Ask some Ss to read all the dialogue - ask Ss to role play the dialogue - Listen to T - Answer - Listen and read - role play listen and read 10 mins Practice reading (10 min) - Ask Ss close their book and notebook - Write each sentence in a A4 paper (in advance) and stick randomly on the board - ask each S to reorder - Ask Ss to read the dialogue c - Hide some words from the sentences, play the audio and let Ss Write Wrap-up mins guess what word is missing - write some blank sentences on the - Fill in the blank board, stick the cards beside the - Point ask and answer sentence, and ask Ss what word is missing, ask some Ss to go to the board and fill in the blank - Ask Ss point ask and answer - Deliver worksheets Do worksheet - Check each Ss individually while other Ss are doing his/her worksheet Show the flashcards and ask Ss to - Say the words say the words ... and guess (10 mins) - Put all the school things in a bag - Touch and guess - Call a S touch without looking inside the bag and guess what it is Activity : Listen and point and repeat Listen and. ..
