IV- Method : communicative approach IV- Procedures: 1/ Warm up: T. greets sts. and contrast. 2/ New lesson: 2.1 Listen. Then practice with a partner. T. reviews structures which is used to greet and introduce. T. asks sts some problems of new school year. Ex: -Do you have any new friends this school year? -what do they talk to their friends when they first meet after the summer vacation? -Are you happy to be back again? T. presents the new lesson. Sts. look at the pictures and listen to the tape.(2 times) Sts. listen again. Then repeat. T. reminds how to use “nice to see you” and “nice to meet you” T. asks sts. to practice the dialogue in groups. T. asks some groups to practice before class. Sts. read the dialogues again. Then answer the questions. T. asks the questions. Sts answer and write on the board. T. remarks and corrects. Sts. practice (one asks – one answers). How is every thing ? III. Teaching aids: Teaching plan, pictures, cassettes IV. Techniques: Listening and Speaking skills IV. Procedures: 1/ Warm up: Ask stusents to greet and introduce about new friend. 2/ New lesson: 2.3 Listen. Then practice with a partner. - Students listen and answer the questions a. What are they doing ? –They are greeting each other b. Who are they ? – Mr Tan and Nga. c. When do they meet ? – In the morning. - Ask students to listen to the tape - Students listen to the dialouge.( once ) - Note : greetings between younger and older person. - Students listen to the tape again. - Students to practice in pairs. - Ask some pairs to practice before class. 2.4. Listen. Then complete these dialogues. - Ask students to give different greetings to people of different ages before the class. - Students read the answers in the box. - Let students listen to the first dialouge, and complete it. - Students listen again and check up. - Elicit and gives the correct answers. a) Mr. Tan: Hello, Lien.
