Warm up: (5m) Questions - Give some questions + Have you ever taken part in / seen any festivals / celebrations? + What festivals / celebrations did you take part in / see it? + Was it interesting? - Lead in to the lesson: Today we are going to learn the Test yourself C to revise the knowledge you have learnt recently - Give answers + Yes, We have / No, never . + New Year’s Ever + Yes, it was - Listen II. Listening (5') - Ask Ss to look through the sentences and guess - Play the tape - Get Ss to find a partner to check their answers with - Check the answers with the whole class. It celebrates the Lunar Year. Tet starts on the first day of the lunar year, however people always prepare for it well in advance. The house is usually cleaned and decorated with beautiful things such as flowers and pictures. Peach flowers and kumquat trees are very typical at Tet. Almost every house has at least either peach flowers or kumquat trees, some even have both in their houses at Tet.
