GIÁO ÁN ENGLISH 11 UNIT 6: COMPETITION READING I Aims: -To introduce some vocabulary about competition -After the lesson students can get more knowledge about competition, the rules, main activities II Teacher and students’ preparation: Textbooks, pictures, handouts, pictures, video clips, power point III Procedure: Teacher ‘s activities Students’ activities *Warm up: (pictures ) Students watch some video clips Watching some video clips: SaoMai Television about SaoMai Television Singing Singing Contest Contest and answer the question Questions: What event is it? Do you like taking part in it? What you think the rules were? Can you make a guess about the sponsor of the competition? What you think the main activities? I Pre-reading: Task 1:*Look at the pictures and match with these words - Sao Mai Television Singing Contest - Quiz: “ Road to Mount Olympia “ - Olympic Games - London Marathon *Work with a partner Answer the following questions Do you like taking part in competitions like - Ss go to the board and match these? why or why not?
