Topic Sentence The most important sentence in the paragraph—the clearest statement of what you are teaching me in the paragraph II A This sentence explains the meaning of the topic sentence without repeating it B Concrete Follow Up: This sentence explains the meaning of the topic sentence without repeating it P is the proof, Usually this consists of example – or a citation from literature or direct data This sentence is crucial proof (example) that supports your claim II A This sentence explains/expands the meaning of the proof without repeating it B Concrete Follow Up: This sentence explains/expands the meaning of the proof without repeating it R is the relevance What is the relevance of the point mentioned in the previous sentence to your topic??
