(Use the past perfect tense) Example: I’d done about half of these things by the time I was twelve I’d flown a kite, hunted for bugs and built a den for instance I think most of my friends had too I still hadn’t called an owl or camped out in the wild and I hadn’t learnt to build a fire without matches That’s probably a good thing! I hadn’t played geocache either (I’d never even heard of it before I read the list.) I’m pretty sure the technology hadn’t been invented back then My little brother was a lot more adventurous than me so he’d probably done most of these activities by the time he was 10!
