Self-chosen - English 10 Date:… /…………/……… Period: 14 THE SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE AND PASSIVE FORM I AIM : Students are able to - Master the use of the simple present tense and its passive form - Use this tense correctly to solve communicative tasks II LANGAUGE CONTENT : Grammar : The simple present tense and passive voice Vocabulary : Words appear in the exercise III TECHNIQUE : - Supply the verbs in brackets in its correct form - Use these sentences to make questions Begin your question with the word(s) in brackets IV TEACHING AIDS : Reference books, sub-board, handouts V PROCEDURE : Teacher’s and Students’ activities - T shows a mini board and introduces a game: Ss have to give imaginary information about themselves - T divides the class into groups The first group give information with the words beginning by letter “A”, the second group uses letter “ B”, the third group uses letter “C”, etc - T scores Ss.’ performance and give comments Content I WARM UP : (7 mns) Model: - My name is……………………………… - My wife’s/ husband’s name is……………………… - We live in………………………………… (city/ province) - And we sell………………………………………… Example: - My name is Anh / Bill /… - My wife’s/ husband’s name is An / Barbara / … - We live in An Giang / Boston /… - And we sell apples / beans/… II LANGUAGE CONTENT : (13 mns) Presentation: THE SIMPLE PRESENT: Ordinary Verbs - T reminds Ss of the form of P : S + V (-s/-es) + ……… different types of verbs S  I/ you/ we/ they/ plural nouns + V S  he/ she/ it/ singular noun + V-s/-es N : S + don’t/ doesn’t + V (bare inf.) + … Q : Do/ Does + S + V (bare inf.) + …….?
