Note: Sau mệnh đề chỉ sự nhượng bộ chỉ dùng dấu phẩy (,) không dùng “but” 2/- Despite, In spite of Despite Inspite of + Noun phrase (cụm danh từ) V_ing Ex: Despite his poverty/ In spite of his poverty, he succeeded in his life. Despite the bad weather, they continued climbing the mountains. 3/- However = No matter how: cho dù thế nào đi nữa. However + adj/ adv + S + V… Ex: However cold the water is, I will swim. However quickly he ran, he couldn’t catch the bus. No matter how terrible life is, I always feel optimistic. 4/- Whatever = Whatsoever = No matter what: dù gì đi nữa Ex: Whatever happens, I will love you forever. Whatever books he reads, he will never learn anything.
