Make mock up 40cm x 40cm from actual fabric and stitch in plus shape ( + ) with actual seal tape MOCK UP TESTING 3. Send the mock up to its lab for testing, if ok approve & follow same condition for production If not ok , remake the mock up in the same manner as before but with revised machine settings. SAMPLE OF TEST REPORT TESTING PARAMETERS • THE BASELINE STANDARD IS 2000 mm water for 2 minutes • Then increase 1000 mm water for every 30 seconds • Keep increasing until you reach the breaking point. MACHINE SETTING STANDARD • SPEED OF THE MACHINE – 4 Meters/Minute • TEMPRATURE – 530 to 550 Degrees Celsius • HOT AIR PRESSURE – 1.1 to 1.3 kg/cm2 • ROLLER PRESSURE – 5 kg/cm2 • Generally this is the setting but it will be different for different fabrics and different machine brands. ADJUST THE MACHINE AS STANDARD 6. make sure the machine setting is as per the approved standard. WATER PROOFING TEST IN FACTORY 5. The output has to be tested atleast 2 times a day for water proofing ability of seal tape. while testing the pressure has to be 3 psi for 2 to 3 minutes.
