UNIT 3 : AT HOME PREIOD 17 LESSON 4 B.4 - 5 P.37  AIM : By the end of the lesson, Ps will be able to talk about things/ people in the classroom, the living room and the family, suing “How many ” and “There ‘s / There are ”  VISUAL AIDS : The picture on page 31 Handouts/ Poster for survey. 1- Warmer + check up : Ps look at the picture (p.31) on bb. They describe the room using “There ‘s/There are ” In 3 mins, who worte the most sentences is the winner. One student goes to the board, write their sentences on bb. Remark. 2 - Pre - teach : a bookcase  bookcases 3 - Set the scene : Lan is describing her classroom. Nam isn’t sure he knows eractly the quanlity of the items. He asks her some questions. 4 - Presentation : (B3 - p.37) T reads the dialogue 3 times. Ss repeat twice. T writes on the bb : doors How many windows are there ? There is one / There are two. * Concept check : Meaning : Use : Do you want to know the No./ the quanlity of some items with this kind of questions ? Form : Which is correct ? How many door / doors / benches / window ? Pron. : Sentence stress. 5 - Practice : (B4 - 5 ; p.37) Ss look at the picture p.37 and count. the items. Pair compare. T asks, Ss answer ; Ss - T ; Half class - Half class ; Pairwork 6 - Further Practice :  Survey : In your family in your living room in your house Name People chairs lamps TV’ s doors windows Nam 4 T elicits the questions . Ss repeat chorally. T demonstrates in front of the class. T gives out handouts. Ss work in groups of 4, filling the table of the survey. FB : “There are 4 people in Nam ‘s house .“ * Kim ‘s game : T hangs the picture p.31/ 36 on bb. Ss look at the picture and try to remember the number of each item in the picture. 4 Ss of 4 teams go to the board. The Ss in class ask them questions with “How many “, the 4 Ss write the numbers on bb. The student who wrote more correct numbers is the winner. 7 - HOMEWORK : Write Qs + As for the items in the picture on p.37.
