She lives next to my house. -> Mai, who lives next to my house, is a good student. Eg2. I often go to school with the boy. He is my neighbor. -> I often go to school with the boy who is my neighbor. Mệnh đề tính ngữ được bắt đầu bằng một dại từ quan hệ,hoặc một trạng từ quan hệ để bổ sung cho một danh từ hoặc một đại từ đứng trước nó. 2.Kinds: Mềnh đề tính ngữ / Mệnh đề quan hệ chứa các đại từ quan hệ gồm : - Who (người mà) thay thế cho chủ ngữ chỉ người - Whom(người mà) thay thế cho tân ngữ chỉ người - Whose(của người mà, của vật mà) thay thế cho ĐTSH có danh từ kèm theo chỉ người và vật. - Which(vật mà) thay thế cho chủ ngữ, tân ngữ chỉ vật. - That(người mà, vật mà) thay thế cho chủ ngữ, tân ngữ chỉ người và vật. Mềnh đề tính ngữ / Mệnh đề quan hệ chứa các trạng từ quan hệ gồm : - When(thời gian mà) thay thế cho trạng từ chỉ thời gian. - Where(nơi mà) thay thế cho trạng từ chỉ nơi chốn. - Why(lí do mà) thay thế cho trạng từ chỉ lí do. 3.Example: I.Who thay thế cho chủ ngữ chỉ người trong câu thứ 2. a. Nếu chủ ngữ câu 1 là chủ ngữ câu 2 Eg1. The woman is Mrs. Thu. She works in the library. The woman who works in the library is Mrs. Thu. that Eg2.The visitors can see a lot of beautiful parks. They come from London. The visitors who come from London can see a lot of beautiful parks. that Eg3. Ba likes playing the guitar. He lives on Trang Tien street. Ba, who lives on Trang Tien street, likes playing the guitar. Eg4. Miss Lien is my teacher. She sings very beautifully. Miss Lien, who sings very beautifully, is my teacher. S(sentence1) + who / that + sentence 2 (leave S) + the rest of sentence 1. Note: - Eg1, Eg2 gọi là mệnh đề tính ngữ xác định,đây là loại mệnh đề cần thiết không được bỏ đi vì chủ ngữ của câu 1 chưa xác định.(nghĩa là không chỉ rõ người nào, vật nào do vậy nếu bỏ đi câu sẽ không đầy đủ ý nghĩa). Trong mệnh đề này Who có thể được thay bằng That. - Eg3, Eg4 gọi là mệnh đề tính ngữ không xác định,đây là loại mệnh đề không cần thiết có thể bỏ mệnh đề này đi vì chủ ngữ của câu 1 đã xác định.(nghĩa là đã chỉ rõ người hoặc vật).Mệnh đề này nhằm làm rõ thêm thông tin mà ta muốn nói.Trong mênh đề này Who không được thay thế bằng That. - Mệnh đề tính ngữ không xác được ngăn cách với mệnh đề chính bằng các dấu phẩy. - Dấu hiệu nhận dạng mệnh đề tính ngữ không xác định. * Khi chủ ngữ câu 1 chứa các từ sau: this, that, these, those, my, his, her, their, our, its, your + Danh từ riêng, the… over there. b. Nếu tân ngữ câu 1 là chủ ngữ câu 2. Eg1. I saw the girl. She helped us last week. I saw the girl who helped us last week. that Eg2. Have you ever spoken to the people? They live next door. Have you ever spoken to the people who live next door? that Eg3. She is Lan. She is famous for her intelligence. She is Lan, who is famous for her intelligence. Eg4. Note: * Who(người mà) gọi là đại từ quan hệ dung để nối 2 câ đơn thành mọt câu ghép.
