OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson: - Ss will be able to introduce and greet with everyone. - Ss know the way to introduce new friend, greet and respond to new acquaintance. II. CONTENTS: 1. Vocabulary: classmate, also, to meet, will begin, hurry 2. Structure: - "Nice to meet you” - "How is everything?" - "Just fine”, “Not bad”, “Pretty good " - “So am I”, me, too” - “WH-questions and answers: Who, What, How III. TECHNIQUES : Slap the board, question and answer, role-play. IV. TEACHING AIDS: textbooks, extra-boards, papers, picture… V. T – Whole class Group work Practice - Get the S to listen to the tape twice (Ex 3 – Group work 6 Time:15’ page 12) - Ask the S to read in pairs - Ask the S to listen to the tape twice (Ex 4 – page 12) to check their predictions. - Feedback. - Explain about all of the sentences in the box. - Ask the S to read the dialogue again. - Correct their pronunciations * Listening: Ex 5 pages 13. - Ask the S to look at the pictures. - Ask the S to guess the contents of the ex 5. - Explain how to do ex. - Get the S to listen to the tape twice. - Ask the S to order the letters of the dialogues they have just listened. - Get the S to listen once more to check their answer. - Explain and feedback. - Keys: c, b, d, a Production Time:7’ - Work in the group to write a passage to introduce a student or themselves using comparative. - Call some S to read their passages. - Call others to remark their classmates’ passages. * Feedback and get the S to play game: Play with words (ex 6) Pair work Homework Time: 3’ Ask students to revise and remember all the structures they have learned in the lesson.
