Unit 1: MY FRIENDS LESSON 5: WRITE

Aims: To help the students write a short paragraph of describing people.

Objectives: By the end of the lesson the students will be able to write abut their friends or someone else

Skills: Writing, Speaking, Reading.

Teaching aids: poster, cues, model writing. Languages:

Grammar: The simple present tense.

Vocabulary: Words of appearance and character: humorous, joyful, selfish, hospitable

I. WARMER: Ordering

Order the words into columns about appearance and character

Thin, short, fat, long, strong, weak, sociable, outgoing, helpful, tall, reserved, light, heavy

20’ II. PRE-WRITING:

1. Pre-teach vocabulary :

- humorous /'hjmrs/ (adj): hài hước - joyful /'iful/ (adj): vui vẻ

2. Set the scene :

We are going to write a short paragraph about our friends What will you write?

3. Questionnaire :
