Ask and answer about color. II. Contents: 1, Vocabulary:Colors vocabulary 2, Grammar: - What color is/ are ?… It is/ They are … 3, Skills:S-L III. Teaching aids: 1, Teacher: pictures, the colors. 2, Students:book . IV. Procedures: Teacher s and Student s activities’ ’ Contents 1, Warm up (1 )’ Greeting and organization. 2, Checking the old lesson(5 )’ - T divides the class into two teams then asks them to play the game slap the board. - Ss play the game slap the board in two teams. - Checking: S – S, T – S. Then give the correct answers. - T uses the slap the board to leads Ss into the new lesson. - Ss listen and remember. 3, New lesson a. presentation. (16 )’ - T gives Ss some new words and pre- teaches them using the pictures of colors/color pencils. - Ss learn and remember the new words. - Checking: T shows the object and asks ss to say “what color it is” Slap the board B 2 . Listen and repeat. Colors. 1. New words: Black(a) White(a) Gray(AE)/Grey(BE)(a) Red(a) Orange(a) Yellow(a) Green(a) Blue(a) Brown(a) Purple(a) 2. Grammar: eye s mouth nose teeth hai r ears lip s - T gives Ss some model sentences and pre-teaches them. - Ss learn and remember. Then give out the correct form. - Checking: S – S, T – S. b. practice (10 )’ - T plays the tape B2 and asks ss to listen. Then T asks ss to read. - T shows some pictures on the board then asks Ss to practice in pairs asking and answering about color. - Ss practice in pairs asking and answering about color. - T has some pairs practice in the class. - Some pairs practice in the class. - Checking: S – S, T – S. c. production(10 )’ - Then T asks ss to to practice in groups(4 groups) : List the colors of this doll(picture) - Ss have to write all the colors in the doll. - Ss practice in groups. - T checks and corrects. * Model sentences: - What color is Di’s hair? It is black. - What color are her lips? They are red. * Form: - What color is/ are ?… It is/ They are … B 3 . Practice with a partner. * eg: A: What color is its hair? B: It is black * E.g. A: What color are Nam’s eyes? B: They are brown. A: What color is his hair? B: It is red. ………… * List the colors of this doll.(picture) V. Feedback(2 )’ : - T retells about how to use the adjectives of color to describe features. - Ss listen and remember. VI. Homework(1 ): ’ - Learn and remember the new words. - Practice asking and answering about color of things. - Prepare new lesson: B 4 – 7 . Black,red,white,green, Yellow,brown,orange, blue. .
