MY FIRST DAY IN MY NEW SCHOOL INTRODUCTION Why were you in a new school? Was it because you had just been promoted to a Primary/Secondary school? Or did you get a transfer from another school? What was the reason for the transfer? Did you hear anything about your new school at all? What were your feelings before your first day in your new school? -had butterflies in my stomach as I was apprehensive -first day in my new school -had moved from the west coast to the east coast -had heard it was a very good neighbourhood school -mixed feelings of excitement and a little anxiety BODY Paragraph 2 As you approached your new school, what did you think of the school building when it first came into sight? Describe something special about the building that caught your eye. -strained eagerly to get a glimpse as the bus/my parents’ car neared the school -impressive, stately structure with a clock tower -school flag cheerfully flapping in the wind -lovely landscaped gardens Paragraph 3 Did you get lost finding your way around in the unfamiliar surroundings?
