Educational factor : - Knowing to describe rooms and houses - Making a complaint and compliment II. Teacher’s and students’ preparation : 1. Method : Communicative Approach 2. Techniques : pair work, using pictures, real objects 4. Materials needed : textbook, picture 5. Students’preparation: Textbook, homework 6. Previous exercise : B ex5, 6 of unit 2 III. Tells the aims of the lesson to the students Today, we will listen to the conversation between Hoa and Lan about furniture and equipment in their house. II. Pre-practice: 1. Teaches new words Comfortable ( explanation ) Tub ( using picture ) Dishwasher ( picture ) Dryer ( picture ) Convenient ( synonym ) +Checks understanding of the new words tub ; dishwasher; dryer ( pictures ) Delicious ( adj ) explanation Gets the students to slap the board. 1. Introduces the content of the dialogue Shows the dial between Hoa and Lan in which some words are cleaned and lets them listen and complete the dialogue III. Controlled-practice: Plays the tape twice. Has them give words needed to fill in the dialogue. Hoa: This is my home. Minh: Oh, what a (1) home! How many rooms are there in your house? Hoa: There are 4. And this is a Listen and answer There are six. Yes, there is/ No, there isn’t Play a game Slap the board Listen to the teacher. Now, we’re going to listen to the conversation between Hoa and Minh ( books closed ) Helps them listen to the dial again. Lets them repeat the dial in chorus. Calls some pairs to roleplay the dial in front of theclass. Corrects the mistakes if necessary. We’ve just finished the dial between Hoa and Minh. Now, in order to help all of you know more about the dial yourselves. Questions: Asks them to give the answer in front of the class. Consolidation: Has the students ask ans answer together about their house (furniture and equipment ) dial in the notebook.
