Teaching aids: Textbook English 9, colored chalks, pictures, poster C. Methods: Matching, ROR D. Contents I : Organization Class Date of teaching Absent ss: 9A 9B II: Warmer : Brainstorming. - T write the topic on the board and asks ss to think about it in one monute - T gives an example .Devide the class into two teams - Students go to the board to write as fast as possible to get points for their group television The media III. New lesson Teacher and students’ activities Content I: Presentation: (10’) 1. Pre-teach: T elicits by picture Situation Situation Translation explain mime Checking vocab: Slap the board Write the new words all over the board, one word in each circle. - Call on two teams of 5 students to the front of the class. - call out the Vietnamese and two students run forward to slap the English equivalent on the board. the students slapping the correct first gets one mark. - Go on until all the words slapped. 2. Odering statements prediction: - Give the poster os statements on the board. - Get students to work in pairs to put the statements in correct order. a. Activity3. Comprehension questions - Have students work in pairs to answer the questions in exercise 2b on page 42. - Call on some pairs od students to ask and answer the questions. - Give feedback. III. Post Reading : Listening: - Set the scene: Chau is doing an assignment about the media, she wants to ask her father some information to do the assignment. - Have students work in pairs to fill in the table on page 43. They have to guess before listening. II. Read 1. Ordering * Answer keys: 1 - c 3 - a 2 - b 4 - d 2. Completing the table * Answer keys: 1 - D 2 - B 3 - B 4 - C 5 - A 6 - D 3.
