Reinforcement Properties of a stirrup mesh: Double click By double clicking on a reinforcement object you can call the command InfoEdit for this special object SOFBEXPLODEALL With the command SOFBEXPLODEALL you can convert any reinforcement object into lines, bows, texts or blocks There is no chance to convert these lines, back into reinforcement objects You can only use the command undo Changing the user-defined functions In the file SOFIBSUSR_??.DVB the minimum spacing of two parallel bars, the hooklength and the mandrel diameter is defined The name of the file includes the country-definition 234 SOFiCAD-RC 16.5/17.1 Reinforcement Miscellaneous Tips and Tricks To this you need to have a basic knowledge of the programming language Basic (Visual Basic for Applications) and to be familiar with working in the VBA development environment Loading the VBA project: AutoCAD command line: • VBALOAD -> sofbsusr.dvb (if SOFiCAD-RC 16.5/17.1 is loaded, this step is missed out) • VBAIDE This is how you get to the VBA Editor SOFiCAD-RC 16.5/17.1 currently uses VBA routines SOF_MinDistOfBars() minimal necessary spacing between the parallel bars SOF_HookLength() Length of hooks SOF_StirrupHookLength() Length of stirrup hooks SOF_BendingRadius() Radius of bending roll As calling up VBA routines takes up relatively large amounts of computing time, all results calculated are stored in an internal cache This means that all values need only be calculated once for each diameter using VBA Only when AutoCAD is shut down are these results deleted Take note of this if you alter the formulae! The transfer of parameters is done via the global AutoCAD variables USERR1-USERR3, although USERR3 always contains the returned value (Result) Example: You can use the following small Lisp program to test the routine for calculating the hook lengths: (defun S:hakenlaenge (diam / hooklength) ;*************************************** ; setzen der AutoCAD Variablen USERR1, Diameter diam in [mm] (setvar "USERR1" diam) ; Aufruf der VBA Routine SOF_HookLength (command "_-vbarun" "SOF_HookLength") ; holen des Ergebnisses in der AutoCAD Variablen USERR3 ; Hakenlänge in [m] (setq hooklength (getvar "USERR3") ) ;Ausgabe des Ergebnisses (princ "\nBei einem Diameter von ") SOFiCAD-RC 16.5/17.1 235 Miscellaneous Tips and Tricks Reinforcement (princ diam) (princ " mm beträgt die Hakenlänge ") (princ hooklength ) (princ " m\n") (princ) ) ; S:hakenlaenge Load the lisp program using • (load“vbatest“) Start with • (S:hooklen 20) This calculates the hook length for an bar with a diameter of 20 mm Test routines for the other VBA formulae can be generated similarly WARNING: If you make a mistake when changing the VBA formulae, there can be considerable problems with SOFiCAD-RC 16.5/17.1 This should be done only by experienced users!!! 236 SOFiCAD-RC 16.5/17.1 Reinforcement Index Index A1 Mirror 143 Base line 81 A1-profile 92 basic reinforcement 222 A3 96 Baustahlgewebe 160 A4 98 Bend up angle 79 Additional bars 78, 90, 208 Bending diameter 15 All sides/around 134 Bending list 14, 114, 214 along an existing leg 130 Bending roll diameter 79, 139 anchorage 99 Bending schedule 91, 213 Anchorage 66, 97, 124 bending up 137 Angle hook 139 Bending up 107 any polyline 81 BFE-Show 13 any shape code 112 Browse 14 any Shape code 112 Browse off 147, 194 APSTA 217 Browse on 147, 194 area 119 C1 Edge 104 arrow 119 C2 105 Arrow 71 C2 Column 106 As [cm²/m] 117 Change drawing definition 213 as [cm²] 118 Change mesh display 184 automatic Bar laying 14 Change steel bar Automatic lbar laying 220 Automatic lbar laying from FE 222 Position numbers 136 Change steel bar B1 100 Bending roll diameter 139 B1 diagonal 101 Position singly 64 B3 102 Reposition 64 B4 103 coil 109 Bar bundle 140 Coil 79 Bar bundles 15 Coil reinforcement 87, 88 Bar spacer 14 Combining bars 89 barlength 204 composite area 222 Barlength 204 concrete cover 65, 67, 70, 211 Version 16.2/16.3 237 Index Tips and Tricks Reinforcement Connecting elements 15, 91, 138 Section laying 82 construction stage 208 Staggering 163 Construction stages 215 Steel bar profile 77 control concrete cover 212 Stirrup meshes 153 Convert 224, 225 Tips 161 Country settings 207 Create drawing definition 212 Create laying 15 Create profile 15 Dialogbox Parameter 207 dialogue box Anchorage and overlap lengths 162 Cut 127 Diameter 65 Cutting draft 215 Diameter/number selection for laying in section 85 D1 108 D2 108 D3 109 Default 64 define concrete cover 211 delete concrete cover 212 Delete drawing mesh 16 Delete list mesh 16 Delta 65, 97, 99 Dialog box Adjust variable bars 90 Change Mesh properties 151 Coil reinforcement 87 Combine variable bars 89 Connecting elements 90 Edge Reinforcement 163 Entering Meshes 149 Laying type 153 Laying type for polygonal mesh laying 155 List mesh assembly 159 Diameter/number selection for range 84 different spacings 121 DIN1356 91 Direction of support 154 direction of the indicator line 122 Display 70, 81 Displayed length 81 displayed number 129 Double click 234 Drawing mesh 16 Drawing mesh Info 16 E1 109 E3 111 Edge 65 Edge bars 160 Edge of a slab 125 Element type 138 End marker 15, 140 Enter variable reinforcement profiles 88 Example -
