improve the flexibility of the CDMA This chapter introduces the new function of multi-carrier cBTS3606 It enables the operator to add the number of sector carriers only by upgrading software and modifying configuration (no need to add hardware for a single cabinet) Thus, the capacity is expanded The TRM (CMTR) of each multi-carrier supports three carriers (three different channel numbers at the same band class) at most That is, CBTS3606 supports three times capacity of the original multi-carrier at most and supports CDMA2000 1X and cdma2000 1xEV-DO The single cabinet of the CBTS3606 with the full configuration S (6/6/6) supports 18 sector carriers at most shows the cabinet of multi-carrier cBTS3606 2005-08-01 All rights reversed Page of 33 Guide to Multi-Carrier CDMA2000 BTS3606 related to the band class and the number of carriers Table 1.1 describes the allocation of multi-carrier power Table 1.1 Allocation of multi-carrier power One or two carriers 450 MHz Three carriers 44 amplified by the CMPA simultaneously in the multicarrier, BTS, so the CMPA must have good performance If the CMPA often exceeds the threshold, refer to the following Table 1.1 for judgment Table 1.1 reversed Page of 33 Guide to Multi-Carrier CDMA2000 BTS3606 Confidentiality level Chapter Fault Location 8.1 Forward Power Abnormal The abnormal BTS power causes a decrease in BTS coverage and weak MS signal To solve this problem, as follows: 1) Check the version of each board inside BTS Make sure that the TRM and CMPA are normal 2) If the condition is permitted, calibration test can be conducted If the calibration fails, test the transmission port power of the CDDU and TRM 3) If the calibration cannot be conducted, trace the BTS transmission power on TELNET after the BTS has ran over 10 minutes If the digital power and amplifier power are normal, the antenna feeder may be connected abnormally Check the antenna standing wave and antenna connection 4) If the amplifier power is abnormal, the problem may be that the amplifier is faulty or the RF cable or the amplifier is not connected well To solve this problem, as follows: a) Make sure that the RF cable is connected well b) Remove and plug the amplifier c) Change the amplifier if the fault is not cleared after the previous two steps 5) If the digital power is abnormal, the problem may be that the TRM is faulty or not connected well Remove and plug the TRM If the fault is not cleared, change the TRM 6) If the fault is not cleared after the previous procedures, consult the BTS maintenance group 8.2 Reverse Channel Abnormal The reverse channel is abnormal due to interference and other faults This causes a low MS transmission power and low successful access rate To solve this problem, as follows: 1) Make sure that the antenna and RF cables are connected well 2) Check the diversity bypass mode of the data configuration The diversity bypass 2005-08-01 All rights reversed Page of 33 Guide to Multi-Carrier CDMA2000 BTS3606 Confidentiality level can be configured only when one CDDU is connected to two TRMs, 3) Check the RF receiving mode in the data configuration The multi-carrier is used only in the broadband mode 4) Check whether the alarm of abnormality due to the main and diversity comparison and the alarm of reverse channel exist 5) Make sure that tracing RSSI on the TELNET is normal 6) If the condition is permitted, the reverse calibration test can be conducted 2005-08-01 All rights reversed Page of 33 ...
