LESSON PLAN. UNIT FOURTEEN: INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS. PART B : READING (45 minutes). Aims : - Students can READ to get some information about the international organizations such as the Red Cross and their aims, activities. Lexical items: humanitarian agency, famines, appeal, vulnerable people, catastrophe, Teaching aids : - the pictures in the text book, some extra pictures, textbook. Procedure : Teacher’s activities Students’ activities • Warm up: 3’ Teacher asks Ss to look at the emblems of some the international organizations on page 152. Ask them to give their meanings UN : United Nations (Organization). UNICEF : United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund. WHO: World Health Organization W W F : World Wildlife Fund.
