In this new edition, the authors have reasserted the centrality and importance of the face-to-face consultation in this fastchanging medical landscape Perhaps it is more important than ever for all those engaged in direct patient care to remain closely connected with the patient’s story and physical examination There is no debate about the value of skilled history taking and physical examination
