Chgn tao va giai thieu cho san xuat ngo a Tay Nguyen giong ngo lai VN5885 (ClON X C4N) nang suat cao (>90 ta/ha), c6 kha nang thich ling rgng, c6 thai gian sinh truang trung binh sam, cung cay, c6 kha nang chong chiu tot, dac biet la benh gi sat da dugc Bg Nong nghiep va Phat trien nong thon cong nhan san xuat thu nam 2013 (Quyet dinh s6 627/QD-TT-CLT ngay 30/12/2013), Hai t6 hgp lai triln vgng VN665 (G46 x B67a), VN667 (G46 x G2) da va dang dugc khao nghiem a Tay Nguyen va cac vung sinh thai khac, ket qua buac dau cho thay c6 trien vgng. 3. Ket qua nghien cuu bo sung du lieu khoa hoc cho nghien cuu ngo a Tay Nguyen, la tai lieu tham khao cho cac can bo khoa hoc chuyen nganh va sinh vien cac truang Nong nghiep. Dr. Bui Manh Cuong 2. Dr. Tran Quang Tan Training organization: Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences (VAAS) Some new results of thesis 1. Selecting successfully 28 inbred lines with tolerant to rust (point 1-2) from 40 inbred lines developed by National Maize Resarch Institute of Vietnam, in which 11 lines namely G2, G45, G46, G47, G286, G1237, G1238, B67a, B67c, C4N and ClON express good tolerance to rust (point 1), growth duration (110-116 days in the Central Highlands, 106-112 days in Northern Vietnam), uniformity in morphological traits, high yield (over 30 quintals.ha''), genetic diversity with differential level between line pairs ranged 0.29 to 0.91, high genetic purity (over 80%), high combining ability for grain yield, meeting the demands for high yield and rust tolerance in maize hybrid breeding. 2. Developing a hybrid named VN5885 (ClON x C4N) with high yield (over 90 quintals.ha''), wide adaptability, early medium maturity (94 - 118 days), sturdy plants, good resistance especially to rust (point 1), recognized as Trial production Crop Variety by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in 2013 (Decision No. 627/QD-TT-CLT dated 12.30.2013). Two crosses VN665 (G46 x B67a) and VN667 (G46 X G2) have been tested in the Central Highlands and the different ecological zones, initially showing the promising results. 3. Thesis's results have contributed the valuable and scientific information for maize research in Southern provinces, also be references for specialized researchers and students in the Agricultural universities.
