There is a big controversy surrounding the issue whether teachers should assign homework to students everyday. Some people think that homework put students be in pressure, can not assess students’ understandings. In my opinion, I do not agree that teachers should not assign homework to students everyday because doing homework helps students to review all knowledge that they have learned at school, and prepare well for the next lesson. 1. Military service should be abandoned. What is your opinion? Nowadays, our country is completely independent. We do not have to live in invasion of other countries. Some people think that military service should be abandoned. However, I do not agree because military service helps people learn the army skills that help protect the country from the enemies, and makes people more responsible for the country. 2. Cars are causing numerous accidents, and make the air more polluted. Therefore, it is time to reduce the number of private cars, and encourage the use of other means of transport. Do you agree? In our modern life, car is one of the popular transport. However, cars have many negative effects on our society. In myself lend my strong support that we should reduce the number of cars and encourage the use of other transport because cars are causing numerous accidents and make the air polluted. 3. Some people say that advertising encourages us to buy things we really do not need. Others say that advertisements tell us about new products that may improve our life. Which viewpoint do you agree? We are living in the age of information technology. Everything is advertised on mass media. While some people believe that advertising encourages us to buy things we do not really need, others, myself included think that advertisements tell us about new products that may improve our lives because it is a convenient way to know information of new products , and we will have more choices. 4.
