it is developed by NARI Automation Research Institute, and can run on Windows, Linux, Unix, etc This manual mainly introduces the installation and configuration process of relative operation system and software system It also introduces how to install and configure NC2000 on these platforms Operation system installation mainly introduces the installation process of Windows 2000, Red Hat Linux 9.0 and Sun Solaris Unix 9.0 It also introduces the installation and configuration process of relative software, for example, JAVA, Sun Cluster NC2000 Installation introduces the installation and configuration process of NC2000 on different operation system (Windows 2000, Red Hat Linux 9.0 and Sun Solaris Unix 9.0) Project Configuration for NC2000 describes how to setup a new project, and briefly introduces the function of relative configuration files and how to use them NARI Oncall system is one set of Real-time alarm and query system through by telephone, message or Speech This Chapter introduces its installation and configuration process Using RDS system, engineers can connect and maintain our monitoring system thorough remote dial network Chapter Installation of operation system 2.1 Installation of Windows 2000 2.1.1 Installation of Windows 2000 NC2000 system can run on 32-bit PC, Micro Workstation and Server which has installed Windows 2000 Minimum requirements:  850MHz Intel Pentium III or coordinate  512MB RAM  10GB available disk space  16 bit sound board and speaker  65,000 color video card ， resolution is 800x600 (mini font) or 1024x768（big font） Recommendatory:  3.2GHz Intel Pentium IV or coordinate  1G RAM  80GB available disk space  16 bit sound board and speaker  32-bit colorful video card， resolution is 1024x768（big font） The installation steps on PC are as follows: Insert Win2000 floppy disk, following this screen: Fig 2-1 Select 1, Start Window 2000 professional Installation: Fig 2- Installation will push the graph from 6-4 to 6-5。 不要点找“取消” Fig.6-4 点找找 Fig.6-5 Click “OK” then Fig.6-6 will appear Select “Yes，I want to reboot computer immediately”，then click “Close”。 先 找找找 点找找 Fig.6-6 Installation is finished 6.3 system configuration 74 Select “start/ settings/ control panel”： 找到“控制面板” Fig.6-7 Select “Telephone and modem item” 找找找 Fig.6-8 75 Select “Modem” item 点找找 找找找找 的 Modem Fig.6-9 Select relative Modem，click “Properties”。 找找音量到最高 找找速度到最高 Fig.6-10 Set “Speaker volume” to highest Set “Maximum COM speed” to fastest。 76 Click “OK”, then return to fig 6-9, click “OK” Close “control panel” 6.4 Network configuration Right click “My Network Places”, click “properties” Fig.6-11 “Network and Dial-up Connection” window（Fig.6-12）will appear。Double click “Local area connection” then Fig.6-13 will appear。 Fig.6-12 77 Fig.6-13 Click “Properties” in fig.6-13，fig.6-14 will appear。 Select “Internet protocol（TCP/IP）”，then click “Properties”。Fig.6-15 will appear。 78 Fig.6-14 79 Fig.6-15 click “advanced (V)…”，fig 6-16 will appear。 Select “IP settings” item, view IP address in “IP address(R)” list If it has “192.9.22.1”，go to step 6; if yes, select user “Nari”, and click “properties” Make sure the password of user “nari” is “nari” Add new user Fig.6-23 Enter “nari” in all the txt box, then click “OK” Select user “nari”, then click “Next” 84 Fig.6-24 10 Select “Internet protocol (TCP/IP)”, then click “properties” Fig.6-25 85 Fig.6-26 11 Enter the IP address and select relative item following fig.6-28 then click “OK” to return to fig.6-25 click “Next ” to go to fig 6-27 86 12 Click “finish”。 Fig.6-27 13 Completing the Network Connection Wizard。 6.6 Start local Telnet service Start control panel\administrative tools\Telnet server administration Enter the following number or letter in popped up windows （ comments after “//”）: //stop services // display or modify regedit // NTLM y // Modify this value // Cancel NTLM validation y // confirm modification // exit // Start service // exit 87 Start [Control panel\administrative tools\services] Find “Telenet”，and double click it In “properties” window ，change “start type” to “auto”, then click “apply” and ”OK” 【Notice】Because of the plug and play property of Windows 2000, Modem driver will not be loaded when computer start if Modem has no power or not connected to computer (It means Modem can not be detected when windows start) When it happens, please power on the Modem, and make sure Modem and computer is connected, then reboot computer to detect Modem again Because in most plants, telephone line is used with other run telephone, usually you not need to start Modem If you want to start RDS, make sure Modem is connected to computer and power on before computer reboot So windows 2000 can detect Modem and load its driver If Modem is independent, you not need to close it 88 ...
