CÁC LOẠI CÂU GIÁN TIẾP 1. CÂU MỆNH LỆNH: Là loại câu yêu cầu người khác làm gì đó, thường chỉ có động từ đứng ở đầu câu. Ex: Open your book, please. Do your homework, please. Khi chuyển câu mệnh lệnh trực tiếp sang gián tiếp ta sẽ dùng những từ như: ORDER (ra lệnh), TELL (nói), REQUEST (yêu cầu). FORM: S + TELL/ORDER/REQUEST + SOMEBODY + TO V S + TELL/ORDER/REQUEST + SOMEBODY + NOT TO V EX: She said to me: bring me a book. → She told me to bring her a book. Mother said to him: open the window. → His mother ordered him to open the window. Don’t stay here, boys” the man said. → The man told the boys not to stay there. 2. CÂU HỎI GIÁN TIẾP a) Yes-No question: câu hỏi có TRỢ ĐỘNG TỪ Động từ dẫn dùng trong dạng câu hỏi gián tiếp là: ASK, trợ động từ sẽ được thay bằng IF/WHETHER. FORM: S + ASK + SOMEBODY + IF/WHETHER + (S + V + O). EX: He asked me: “Do you clean the floor?” → He asked me IF I cleaned the floor. He asked her: “Did you take care of your children?” → He asked her whether she had taken care of her children. b) WH-question FORM: S + ASK/WONDER (tự hỏi)/WANT TO KNOW + SOMEBODY + WHO,WHAT,WHICH,WHEN, + (S + V + O) 1 EX: He asked me: “why do you clean the floor?” → He asked me why I cleaned the floor.
