For centuries, especially recent decades, the world has experienced great growth thanks to globalization. Global trade has increase over 20fold for the period from 1950 to 2008 , real GDP per capita growth has accelerated, 18 out of 24 globalizers grew, the rest of them are quite substantial . However, in recent years, growth is slowing. Globalization is criticized for the economic depression and unstable national economies. Everything has its pros and cons and globalization is not an exception. In this essay, we will examine the benefits and risks of globalization, as well as personal view of the author if we should constrain or encourage globalization and the effects of globalization on employment in the developing countries.
