LISTENING * Objective: - By the end of the lesson , Ss will understand about synchronized swimming * Teaching aids: Textbook, pictures, cassette player. * Procedures: Times contents Teacher’s activities Ss’ activities 3’ 10’ I. Warm up: - Pictures  Introduction II. Pre-listening: - Synchronized - ballet - gymnastics - diving - Show pictures - Ask - Follow the steps for presenting vocabulary. - Look at - Answer - Listen & answer. - Repeat - Copy 20’ * Look at the picture and discuss in groups. * Listen and repeat: (P.132) III. While – listening: * Task 1: Listen to a woman talking about synchronized swimming. (P.133) Keys: 1-B 2-C 3-A 4-B 5-A * Task 2: Listen again and answer the questons. (P.134) - Ask - Play the tape & ask - Play the tape - Ask Ss for the answer - Ask Ss for reading the questions before listening - Play the tape - Answer - Listen & repeat - Listen (1 or 2) - Answer - Reading - Listening 10’ 2’ Keys: 1. The great Australian swimmer, Annette Kellerman did 2. She founded a water ballet club in 1923 3. Curtis did 4. They were conducted in 1946 5. It bacame an Olympic event in 1984. IV. Post – listening: * Talk about the history of synchronized swimming (P.134) V. Homework: - Ask some pairs to talk - Walk around for help - Get feedback & correct - Aks Ss to talk about the history. - Aks Ss to prepare - Ask & answer - Do the task - Work in pairs and copy. - Ss talk about the history - Prepare * Prepare the next writing UNIT 12 : WATER SPORTS D. WRITING * Objective: - By the end of the lesson , Ss can do exercise. * Teaching aids: Textbook, pictures. * Procedures: Times contents Teacher’s activities Ss’ activities 3’ 15’ I. Warm up: - What are they? - Do you usually do exercise? - Do you do exercise in the morning or in the afternoon?  Introduction II. Pre – writing * Vocabulary: - Ask - Follow the steps for - Answer - Listen & answer 20’ - Vertical # horizontal - apart - push - bend * Task 1: Read and match each sentence with one appropriate action. (P.134) Keys: a – 2; b – 4; c – 1; d – 3. III. While – writing: * Task 2: Look at the pictures (P.135). Write the structions for one warm – up exercise before playing water polo: Keys: 2.
